D-log Advantage
Our "D" log wall system is available in 6" or 8" sizes and is milled from only the finest quality Northern White Cedar harvested in the Katahdin Valley region of Maine.
The heart of the tree is located within the center of each one of our logs to create a dimensionally stable element for your log home. That coupled with our precision tongue & groove joining system, splined window and door bucks and optional interior insulation package will help to create one of the most efficient log homes available today.
Our homes have many options to choose from:
- Hand peeled exposed square sawn timber or round log roof purlins and loft joists
- Rustic square or half log stairs
- Rustic cedar handrails and balusters
- Traditional butt and pass, round vertical outside, dovetail or faux saddle notch corners
Precision milled tongue and groove cedar logs with interlocking butt and pass corners affords the integrity and stability sought after in log wall construction. Our unique corner cuts allow for continuity of the tongue and groove around the entire corner thus minimizing infiltration potential at these critical points. Cased openings (bucks) for windows and doors are specially fitted with pre-cut frames jointed into the log wall system insuring trouble free operation.
